Seabird – Hoxton Hotel

Jump in the lift in the Hoxton Hotel on Blackfriars Rd and you are whizzed to the rooftop. Enter Seabird. As the restaurant is 14 floors up, it means the view is very decent, even more so if you are able to sit outside on the terrace.

Seabird is charming in its nature, and a restaurant that covers all bases. Looking for a romantic meal? a girly brunch? a lads night out? a family meal? Seabird is your spot. I took my mum for a mother daughter catch up!

I am a seafood fan and so I found it hard to choose from the menu, it all sounded delicious. After much deliberation, we went for the Octopus roll, XO scallop duo, Patatas Pallas, Grilled chorizo (with thyme honey) and charred cabbage.

For dessert we shared a portion of burnt basque cheesecake ( as we were so full!) It was delightful and rich.

Our waitress was so lovely. She sat and talked through the cocktail options, food selections and preferences, often checking back despite the restaurant being busy. Big green tick.

It was pouring with rain on the day on the day of our visit so, I have an excuse to visit again, if only for the view! Get down to Seabird (or up as its a rooftop!)
