OMA

Oma is a hidden gem which sits above Borough Market in London Bridge, think high end Greek food in a modern grey wash setting.

Once you find it (above Agora), you will be pleasantly surprised, if you like this kind of atmosphere. I visited at lunchtime and found that it was unsurprisingly busy. This restaurant is versatile and would suit all occasions, a work lunch, a romantic meal for two, catch ups with friends or a special family occasion. I saw plenty of people dining with their little ones too, which as a parent, I love to see.

There are counter seats but I chose to sit outside on the terrace, which please note, is heated when the English weather isn’t playing ball. Plus points there.

The food at OMA was priced as expected for the location, but I must say that the flavours do match up, which isn’t often the case in London town.

This restaurant takes simple dishes, like Babaghanoush and elevates them, the Babaghanoush was the best I’ve had. What I really liked about OMA, was the range of options, from breads and dips, small plates and skewers to grills and clay pots.

I chose a selection of bits and bobs and bobs your uncle I has a great tasting meal, where I had the chance to sample quite a lot.

Stand out dish on the menu, the Spanakopita gratin, in short, it was to die for. This was closely followed by the wild red prawn clay pot, which literally tasted like we were out at sea.

Dessert was nice but nothing spectacular, the rest made up for it though!
